DIRECTOR'S NOTE

Think of the classic paradox whether a tree in the forest truly falls if we haven’t seen it. It relies on our recognition of the event as the basis to validate its occurrence. Does our validation affect the tree?

In the same way, we often rely on another's approval to believe in something we have. Sometimes, we seek this kind of validation even for our own choices. Seeking others' approvals for our decisions, rather than taking ownership, impacts our lives in different ways.

Through Chaukhat (The Threshold), I explore how Naveen's need for his father's approval about his life-choices impacts his partner, Seema.
